Extremely few of us knew about the / thing in make menuconfig! I was also misinformed on what genkernel was exactly. I've used it to built a couple of kernels in the past but I wasn't aware that it did anything special at boot time. It can just be used to build kernels that boot in the normal way as well, can't it?
