[fprint] problem with fprint project demo

Hello;

I'll be thankfull if you guide me;
In ubuntu 8.04 ,This<http://knowledge76.com/index.php/Fingerprint_Reader_Installation>Fprint
project demo is installed , but it could not enroll any finger in
many scans.
laptop is Thinkpad R61 NCG 7742 , does it have
this<http://www.reactivated.net/fprint/wiki/Upeksonly>device?
