[fprint] Latest overlay does not work

Hello,

Tried  to sync overlay and run:

Get the following result:

Scan your finger now.
upekts:error [__handle_incoming_msg] non-zero bytes in cmd response
upekts:error [initsm_read_msg_response_cb] expected response, got 0
seq=0 in state 13
sync:error [fp_enroll_finger_img] unrecognised return code -1
Enroll failed with error -22

These errors were also in previous versions, but the previous version
retried/ignored and it worked.

Device:
Bus 003 Device 026: ID 0483:2016 SGS Thomson Microelectronics Fingerprint Reader

Please don't mark the git snapshots as ~arch, so that some kind of
sane behavior may be expected.
