Thanks so much!! Indeed, a logo is desperately needed :)
I chose image #1 from your samples. I like it, but I'll happily consider 
others if they are contributed.

Are you OK with this being licensed under CC-BY-SA?

I may also choose to include it in GPL-2 software in future.

I have to do an academic project seminar next week. This logo will 
prettify it up a bit -- thanks!!
