Hardware donations
Making a donation
If you have a fingerprint reader currently unsupported by the project, and you want to do something about it, we'll readily accept hardware contributions. It is not guaranteed that we can make them work with libfprint, and it may take time, but we'll try. If you're interested, send an email with details of the device to dsd@gentoo.org. I'm based in the UK.

Monetary donations
Making a donation
I aim to use some funds for the following purposes:
- Funding future hardware purchases with the purpose of supporting those devices in libfprint
- Hosting costs (mailing list costs £7.50 per year)
- The possibility of providing bounties to new contributors
I have a spare bank account for this purpose, so I won't be mingling such funds with my personal account. I'll also log the donations here alongside the expenses.
In the event that funds accumulate but are not being used for a substantial amount of time (due to the project being mostly complete, abandoned, or whatever), the remaining funds may be donated to another open source project or organisation.
Thanks to the kind contributors listed below, we now have a good amount of funding to be working through, so I'm not requesting further donations at this point. If you'd like to make a personal contribution, I do have an Amazon.co.uk wish list. I would also like to suggest donating to the Software Freedom Law Center who have helped this project in the past.
